Alive With Mission Me®! presents
Coaching the Young MultiSport Athlete One-Day Workshop

(Approved USAT Education Course, Approved Illinois State Board of Education CEU/CPDU Provider)

Alive with MissionMe!® offers a one-day Youth MultiSport workshop for coaches, personal trainers, recreation center staff, physical education specialists, teachers and parents.

Thirty to forty million kids play organized sports each year and they represent 25% of USAT’s membership. The Youth MultiSport Workshop focuses heavily on individual development and on understanding the skills required to keep the athlete safe and injury free. Young athletes are not rushed to develop and young MultiSport athletes can become lifetime athletes and clients. The remarkable thing about MultiSport participation is that it transcends age. Under the direction of a qualified coach, MultiSport athletes develop and mature at their own pace.

Alive with MissionMe!® Workshop participants learn the necessary organizational, management, and training techniques to introduce children and youth and their families to the fastest growing sport in the world!  The AMM Youth MultiSport Clinic Manual provides instruction and guidance on basic and advanced MultiSport fundamentals, while incorporating fun, interactive games and skills. It is time for our youth’s lifestyles to change and bringing MultiSport into their life and the lives of their families can effect that change.

This is an opportunity to learn the basics of MultiSport training, risk management associated with training young athletes, and how to implement your own MultiSport camps or clinics. Heart rate monitors, pedometers, and rate of perceived exertion are used to track intensity and to assess physical fitness progress. Equipment demonstrations include use of bikes and bike trainers along with fitness balls, stretch bands, medicine balls and various swimming equipment.

The One-Day AMM Youth MultiSport Workshop provides coaches with the following:

  • Eight (8) hours of direct Coach Educational/Classroom Instruction on Youth in MultiSport
  • Understanding the history and evolution of MultiSport and the benefits for youth.
  • Increased knowledge base regarding health related issues of today’s youth and how participation in MultiSport events can help eradicate youth physical inactivity and obesity.
  • Understanding the differences and needs of coaching young MultiSport athletes.
  • Risk management issues, liability, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to develop and implement personal youth clinics and camps using the AMM program and materials.
  • Additional revenue generation by broadening coaching scope to young athletes.

The One-Day AMM Workshop does not provide coaches with hands-on involvement with youth athletes.

Youth MultiSport Clinic Workshop participants will receive study and reference materials from the AMM Youth MultiSport Clinic Manual and Guide.

Registration Fee: $350.00
